From the beginning, The Gate Church has been a place shaped by God’s presence, built on bold faith, and fueled by a passion for people.

Our story began as Cathedral of Praise World Outreach Center, a Spirit-filled church in Oklahoma City with a heart for worship, prayer, and the nations. In 2006, a new season began when Bishop Tony Miller and his wife, Pastor Kathy Miller, moved to Oklahoma City to become the senior leaders. With a global vision and apostolic call, they carried a passion to see the church become a gateway for the Kingdom of God—both locally and globally.

Under their leadership, Cathedral of Praise was transformed—not only in name, but in identity. In 2012, the church became The Gate Church, a reflection of the prophetic word spoken over its future: that it would be a gate for revival, healing, and transformation for the city, the region, and beyond. Bishop and Pastor Kathy carried not just the heart of shepherds, but the call of reformers. They were builders of people and visionaries of God’s Kingdom.

Bishop Tony was known around the world as a powerful communicator, a spiritual father, and a leader of leaders. Through Destiny World, an organization he and Pastor Kathy founded in 1998, he helped train and equip over 300,000 leaders across 90+ nations. But his deepest love remained the local church—and especially the people of The Gate. Under his leadership, the church became a vibrant, multicultural, multi-generational community where lives were changed, leaders were empowered, and God’s presence was honored above all else.

In January 2021, Bishop Tony Miller passed away suddenly, leaving behind an immeasurable legacy. Though the loss was great, his impact continues to ripple across the world and through the lives of those he poured into. Following his passing, Pastor Kathy Miller stepped forward to lead the church with strength, grace, and unwavering trust in God's plan. She carried the vision with honor and clarity, guiding the church through a season of grief into a new chapter of growth.

In 2022, that vision was entrusted to the next generation as leadership was passed to their daughter and son-in-law, Pastors Holly and Jordan Roberts. Both long-time leaders at The Gate, they carry the same DNA of worship, discipleship, and global impact. Their leadership marks a continued legacy—and a fresh passion—to see The Gate Church remain a place where heaven meets earth.

Today, The Gate Church is a thriving family of believers committed to building lives, restoring hope, and transforming culture through the power of Jesus. We gather with expectation, worship with passion, and live with purpose. From Oklahoma City to the nations, we exist to see God’s Kingdom come—on earth as it is in heaven.
